Pushpa 2 Becomes Fastest Indian Film to Cross ₹1,000 Crore

Hollywood, Dec 11, 2024- Pushpa 2: The Rule has broken all records by roping in Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna. According to director Sukumar, the movie broke a monumental record by turning into the fastest Indian movie to touch Rs 1,000 crore in any global market in only six days.

The journey of the film to such fabulous success is electrifying in every sense. On December 5, 2024, ‘Pushpa 2‘ managed an astonishing Rs 164.25 crore on its opening day. The following day recorded Rs 93.8 crore, on the third Rs 119.25 crore, and on the fourth day Rs 141.05 crore. At the end of the fifth day, the film had grossed Rs 922 crore, making it the fastest to cross Rs 900 crore.

The Hindi version of the film performed extremely well, garnering Rs 370.1 crore nett, much higher than the Telugu version’s Rs 222.6 crore nett. While collections dipped a bit on the sixth day, “Pushpa 2” crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark and has forever marked its presence in cinematic history.

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan took to social media to share the achievement, saying, “Pushpa 2 is now the FASTEST Indian film to achieve this HUMONGOUS milestone globally. Allu Arjun joins the elite club in style. The film has been seen to be a result of the gripping storyline, great performances, and word-of-mouth promotion.

“Pushpa 2: The Rule” is the sequel of the blockbuster 2021 “Pushpa: The Rise” and continues the storyline of Pushpa Raj, the famous sandalwood smuggler, played by Allu Arjun. The movie also features Fahadh Faasil and Jagapathi Babu in key roles, but rumors suggest that Vijay Devarakonda will join the cast in the third installment, “Pushpa 3: The Rampage.”.

The film has not only beaten records but also set up a new benchmark for Indian cinema. It joins films like “Dangal,” “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion,” “RRR,” and “KGF 2” that have made more than 10 billion rupees.
