CPR, or cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, is helpful in patients who are unable to breathe after a severe concussion. This increases the chances of the person surviving until blood circulation and respiration are regularized and further help is received. A patient without CPR has a 10% lower chance of survival. • Then breathe through the mouth again to see if the person’s heart starts working again. But in the meantime close your nose with your fingers.
• Then rotate the person on a cushion. As the chest slowly begins to move up and down again, assume that your CPR attempt is succeeding.
• Admit the patient to the hospital for further treatment.
