Gujarat Titans, the first team to qualify for playoffs after eradicating Lucknow Super Giants in the 57th match of IPL 2022 played on 10 May 2022 at Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
Gujarat Titans won the toss and opt to bat, but they had a dismaying start by losing Wriddhiman Saha at the very initials.
Captain Hardik Pandya was not happy with the first inning of the match as they couldn’t set a good target score for Lucknow Super Giants but the bowlers gave a great performance in the 2nd inning of the match and made it difficult for LSG to chase the score and won by 62 runs.
Gujarat Titans after losing Wriddhiman Saha were a little disappointed as Saha gave an unforgettable performance in previous matches and they were expecting the same in this match, but Shubman Gill stood for the team on the field till the end and made an unbeatable score of 63 runs off 49 balls with 7 fours.
Rahul Tewatia came on the 6th number to bat and couldn’t play for long but he made sure he stays till the end with Shubman Gill on the field.
Though the score was not that difficult to chase for LSG, but the bowlers broke the confidence of LSG from the very beginning of the match by hitting wickets one after the other. The first wicket came from Yash Dayal at the 21st delivery of the inning when he knocked out Quinton de Kock at just 11 runs.
Talking about the bowlers the first man who comes to mind is Rashid Khan, What a Player! This man hit 4 wickets in just 3.5 overs with 24 runs. He never failed to give an absolutely perfect performance in IPL so far.
