Gabby Windey, renowned for her appearances on “The Bachelorette” and “The Traitors,” has embarked on a new chapter in her life by marrying her partner, comedian and writer Robby Hoffman. The couple’s intimate Las Vegas wedding on January 11, 2025, was a spontaneous decision influenced by unforeseen circumstances and a profound bond.
In August 2023, Windey and Hoffman began dating. Since then, their romance has been in the news. As their relationship grew, they thought about making a promise that would last. The fires in Los Angeles in early January 2025 made their decision to get married even more important. They had to leave their home because of the fires. They were looking for safety and found it in Las Vegas, where the thought of running away seemed normal and right on time. Windey thought about this lucky turn of events and asked, “What better time is there than now to get married?” If the world ends, we want to be with each other.
By entering into matrimony, they demonstrated their mutual affection and their relaxed demeanor. The One Love ceremony Chapel was selected by the couple for a modest ceremony.
It ran about 15 minutes and cost $799, which covered the officiant’s services, a limousine, and pictures. For her outfit, Windey picked a lace dress she saw on a store mannequin, while Robby Hoffman wore black pants and a button-down shirt. The simplicity of their clothes showed how real their relationship was.
Hoffman’s proposal was both creative and personal, incorporating a shared love for crossword puzzles. She crafted a custom puzzle that, upon completion, revealed the message, “Will you marry me, Gabby?” This thoughtful gesture underscored the couple’s unique bond and shared interests. Reflecting on the proposal, Windey expressed her surprise and joy, noting that the puzzle’s final revelation left her momentarily speechless.
Windey captioned her wedding post with a simple but heartfelt: “Husband and wife!!” She later told Cosmopolitan that the decision to wed was spontaneous, fueled by the chaos of the Los Angeles wildfires. After evacuating, the couple felt a newfound urgency to seize the moment. “Literally cue Rihanna—‘We found love in a hopeless place,’” Windey joked. “If the world is ending, we want to be together.
Even though the flames made things hard, the couple’s wedding day was fun and spontaneous. They danced down the aisle to “Hot to Go!” by Chappell Roan and were happy to share their joy with a photographer who caught the spirit of their special day. Windey and robby hoffman both felt truly moved by how simple and real the service was, which made it an important moment in their journey together.
They wrote a story about love, strength, and being caught off guard that still moves a lot of people. Even when things are going badly, love can take you to beautiful places you didn’t expect.
