He graduated from Bluestone High School and represented his school in cross-country and track and field while amassing many achievements, some of which include record-breaking marks in different events. Hard work and dedication were eventually paid off as Frank emerged to be one of the prominent athletes in his exemplary speed, endurance, and competitivity.
Frank proceeded to the University of Lynchburg after high school for a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in Public Health. He was a part of the Lynchburg Hornets’ indoor and outdoor track teams, which focused on cross country. Some of Frank’s achievements include six First-Team All-Americans, a national title in the distance medley relay, and multiple records in various track events.
Frank Csorba was reportedly dead in his off-campus apartment near the University of Lynchburg on April 22, 2024. He was a considerate and benevolent character to his fellow teammates and friends, and always there to lend an attentive ear and offer support in his times of need. Fight spirit and optimism were really big influences on younger athletes. The University of Lynchburg will not soon forget the contributions made by Frank Csorba to the track and field program for he was indeed a pretty big part of the team’s success and his own development.
The athletic community celebrates Frank’s life remembering the service he gave to both off and on the track. His achievements and character will remain inspirational.
