As one gains more experience, one of the best ways to impart knowledge and have a passive source of income is to write books. For dentists, the books here would be about their chosen field. If writing is something one is not really confident in, one can even co-write books or have them ghostwritten. The latter is when the writer of the book does not have their name published on the book. Medical books, specifically, books written on the topic of dentistry would do perfectly well in the market. Medical Sales Representatives work in the same manner as regular Sales Representatives. On top of the regular monthly salary, they also receive a commission on each sale made. At the end of the year, they are left with annual salaries of around INR 3,00,000 LPA.
Besides working, many students also opt for higher education. In India, the best dental colleges in India offer courses from bachelor’s to doctorate. Higher education means better jobs at higher ranks and more salaries. The admissions process and eligibility criteria for admission for master’s and doctorate degrees are highly selective and require submission of entrance examination scores like the NEET PG. Candidates with doctorate degrees are able to take part in research and development in the field of dentistry contributing to the growth of the field in the country.
One field that is not much known by many dental students is the insurance field. In particular, companies that provide medical insurance hire doctors and dentists for their insurance claims. Any insurance claim is checked by an expert, in this case, a dentist, for validity and fraud. The extent of damage is determined by the dentist and submitted to the insurance company.
Graduating with a BDS or MDS from Mansarovar Dental college and hospital does not mean only working as a Dentist. There are many more career options in fields other than medicine that one must explore. If a job is not on the cards, then there is always the option to enroll in a higher education dentistry degree.
