Ayodhya Ram Mandir Marks First Anniversary of Ram Lalla’s “Pran Pratishtha”

Ayodhya is celebrating today because it has been one year since the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at the Ram Mandir.

The first consecration event took place on January 22, 2024, and was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Ram Mandir. Ever since then, it has emerged as an event of religious and cultural importance in India.

The anniversary celebrations, Pratishtha Dwadashi, were held on January 11, 2025, according to the Hindu calendar.

The day started with the Agnihotra ceremony, which was performed twice, from 8 am to 11 am and then from 2 pm to 5 pm, with the chanting of mantras from the Shukla Yajurveda. Devotees participated in chanting six lakh Shri Ram mantras and recitations of the Ram Raksha Stotra and Hanuman Chalisa.

The Maha Abhishek of Ram Lalla was performed at Ram Mandir, followed by his Mangal Darshan, drawing large crowds of devotees and tourists from all over the world. The city has witnessed an immense growth of visitors after the temple opening since the event epitomizes the liveliness that represents the ideals of spirituality and culture.

The “Surya Tilak” ceremony, in which a concentrated sunbeam was aimed at a focused point on the forehead of the Ram Lalla idol, was one of the striking features of the temple opening. Scientists at the Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) in Roorkee created this one-of-a-kind structure, which directs sunlight through an opening into the temple’s interior via an elaborate optomechanical system of lenses and mirrors. An infrared filter comprised of heat-absorbing material keeps excessive heat from reaching the idol.

In addition, to ensure tourist safety, high-tech monitoring systems have been installed around Ram Mandir, Ayodhya.

There are almost 10,000 CCTV cameras installed, some of which use AI technology, and multilingual police officers with soft skills for effective peak-time management.

The temple has state-of-the-art security, which includes X-ray baggage scanners and Under Vehicle Scanning Systems (UVSS) from Vehant Technologies that can identify hidden weapons, explosives, and dangerous chemicals.

As Ayodhya continues its jubilation regarding this historic day, the ethos of faith, happiness, and worship remains potent enough to pave the way for the future of millions of worshipers.
