Alarming Signs that you need Holidays

Holidays are all about fun and pleasure, yes, but it’s also something that’s necessary for everyone once in a while. You may love your job with all your heart, but no one can be working all the time without feeling drained, burnt out and simply tired. Do you wonder if the time has come for you to get some time off work? Here are some of the most alarming signs that you are in a desperate need for a vacation (for the sake of both you and your employer):

  1. Small problems start to feel bigger. You start creating drama, you argue with your other half or your friends, and everything irritates you. You can see that you don’t need a big, understandable reason for this, and you snap because of things that normally, you would be indifferent to.
  2. You make more mistakes. You feel distracted, your mind is always somewhere else, you can’t focus on your daily tasks and everything seems more difficult than it used to. You start making more mistakes than usual without any particular reason.
  3. Your mood is worse. If it’s the case, most likely someone has already noticed that you became more negative or grumpy. Maybe you’re less patient with this chatty girl you always bump into in the kitchen, or you’re communicating your needs and complaints in a more aggressive way.
  4. You think too much. You think all the time, you may have even become philosophical, you start to wonder what you do with your life and what you are waiting for in general. You notice your mind wandering off too often.
  5. You have trouble sleeping. You lay awake at night rolling in your bed and fighting plenty of thoughts running through your mind, even though you’re tired and you desperately need to sleep.
  6. You don’t like your friends’ holiday photos anymore. Instead, you feel angry whenever you see a friend or a colleague on vacation.
  7. You have trouble waking up. When you finally fall asleep, you need to wake up, but you feel like you could spend eternity in bed? Yes, it’s a bad sign as well.
  8. You feel the need to go everywhere and see everything. You say I want to go there several times a day, every time you see a photo or someone mentions any destination; it’s especially alarming if it’s a place or an event that you haven’t been interested in before.

Can you relate to any of these problems? Maybe it’s time to start researching your next holiday destination, to find more info about flights, car hire and weather in Spain, or the moods and atmosphere in the south of France.
